Abstract: It is shown that the parallel electron viscosity leads to an enhanced pinching effect in the collisional regime. The inward neoclassical convection velocity is < U$_{r}$ > = - < cB$_{X}E_{\varnothing}/B^{2}$ > [1 + 2.15 q$^{2}$ ($\lambda_{mfp} / qR)^{2}$]- assuming cylindrical cross-sections - where $\lambda_{mfP}$ is the electron mean-free path. It is also shown that experimental profiles in the plasma edge are inconsistent, from the point of view of power balance, with solely neoclassical heatlosses by many orders of magnitude . Finally the poloidal rotation velocity obtains from ambipolarity.
